Named for civil rights activist and former Centurion, Bernard Powell, since 1980 the Centurions Leadership Program has recognized alumni who demonstrate outstanding leadership, deep commitment to service, and clear passion for the improvement of the Greater Kansas City area in Bernard Powell’s memory. About: The Council is a volunteer board and assists The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in member recruitment for the Friends of Art and Young Friends of Art membership programs, general fundraising, member event creation, Council sustainability, and advocacy.

SOCIAL COFFEE

ALLIES AND AUTHENTICITY

This is time for us to engage in a safe space, in conversation and discussion about our task force survey results. The specific focus will be authenticity and what allyship looks like. This is a time to speak about and listen to our stories, thoughts, and perspectives about authenticity results from the task force surveys. This is an open forum.
