Centurions NOW - March 11, 2019

THIS WEDNESDAY: PRE-K FOR KC INFORMATION SESSION (ACTIVES AND ALUMNI)

Recently, the Chamber board voted to endorse the Mayor’s Pre-K for KC ballot initiative to expand early childhood education for children in Kansas City. The 3/8 cent sales tax will be on the April ballot in KCMO. The Chamber, as it has with previous initiatives like Better KCI, would like to engage the Centurions actives on the topic and offer those that would like to be involved the opportunity to participate in larger Chamber efforts with the campaign. Centurions who are passionate about supporting this initiative will be called upon to step up and help in a variety of ways.

Please join us for a continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the World Trade Center Conference Room for an information session on the Pre-K for KC initiative. Joe Reardon and Scott Hall will present on the importance of the issue, the details of the plan, as well as why and how we ended up with this specific proposal. They will be also be available to answer questions about the initiative. Register here >>
