REMINDER: SIGN UP TO ACCESS SERVICE PROJECTS ON VOLUNTEERMARK

All volunteer opportunities are now open to both classes and are on a first-come, first-served basis. We have moved to one calendar on VolunteerMark that everyone will use to sign up for opportunities. This was the overwhelming feedback that volunteer opportunities are a great way to have both classes connect. This also means that opportunities are open “year-round” for everyone, which we will track by program year (Fall: July 1-June 30 and Spring: Feb 1-Jan 31).

Ready to serve? Check out VolunteerMark for a few opportunities that are still in need of volunteers. Check the calendar regularly as new projects are added weekly and look for newsletter announcements or GroupMe to sign-up for projects in which spots still need to be filled.

Upcoming Projects In Need of Volunteers:

  • December 16: Mentoring Kids through Learning Club
  • December 17: Genesis Tutoring
  • December 18: Ronald McDonald House Family Room Lunch
  • December 21: Habitat for Humanity of KC ReStore
  • December 21: Breakfast with Santa
  • January 3: Pantry Pickup Day
  • January 7: Genesis Tutoring
  • January 11: HopeBUILDERS
  • January 11: Battle of the Bean 5k

SPRING

REMINDER! INVITE YOUR EXECUTIVES TO THE 2nd YEAR EXECUTIVE BREAKFAST

In 2016, we started hosting a breakfast for our graduating Centurions and their executives. At this breakfast, 2nd year Steering members will present your accomplishments over the last two years (Legacy project, task force topics, leaders you’ve heard from, etc.). We are continuing the tradition again this year on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the KC Chamber Boardroom (Union Station, first floor).

Executives and supervisors can RSVP by emailing Danielle Isbell. You can also register yourself and your guest on their behalf via the online calendar.

Even if you cannot attend, we still encourage you to invite your executives. This is their opportunity to see all the hard work you have put into the program over the last two years. Your executive will be confident their investment in the program will return a more engaged, educated, thoughtful, and connected leader. If your executives cannot attend, but you can, that’s great too!
