COMMUNITY LINC CENTURIONS CHALLENGE

The Centurions Alumni Projects Committee is excited to partner with Community LINC to host a volunteer challenge to support the organization. This challenge is open to all Actives and Alumni and those who complete all three challenges will be entered into a raffle drawing. 

Challenge one: Coat Drive

NEED: They are especially in need of XL, plus size, and in particular men’s coats. But please bring any and all. 
WHERE: Please bring the coats to our Alumni Holiday Social December 13, 2022. If you are not able to attend, please arrange pickup/drop off with Gretchen FitzGerald (Gretchen.FitzGerald@BlueKC.com).

Challenge two: Adopt a family

NEED: Donate money to help adopt a family of five. 
WHERE: Send donation via Venmo to @centurionsKC. The total will be donated to Community LINC on behalf of Centurions. The deadline to donate is December 17.

Challenge three: Volunteer

NEED: December 17! Hours between 8:30-12:30 pm for volunteering for move-in. Two shifts.

IUC: ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE – AWARENESS, PREVENTION, & RECOVERY

During this Issues Up Close session, leaders from First Call will lead a discussion on substance abuse awareness, prevention and recovery and the impact that it has on the larger Kansas City community, including how to create sober friendly/sober curious work and civic environments that promote inclusivity of all. First Call is a non-profit organization that provides clinical, educational and prevention services to individuals and families in the Greater Kansas City area impacted by substance use disorders. IUC: PREPARING FOR THE NFL DRAFT

Join us to learn what Kansas City is doing to prepare for the NFL Draft and how our city intends to make this a great experience for fans, tourists, and KC residents. INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL DANCING

Join us for a night of social dancing! All levels of dancers are welcome! Instructors from Redux Society will be teaching an introduction to bachata, salsa, and kizomba class. Please arrive by 5 p.m. for some light appetizers and a welcome drink. A cash bar will be available throughout the rest of the night. Dance lessons will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m. Feel free to register and bring a guest, but a dance partner is not required! Register here >>

The Alumni Board is instituting a new annual survey to hype engagement and ensure it is set up to exceed expectations moving forward.
