SUPPORT KC STUDENTS - SUPPLIES DRIVE!

As schools make the difficult decision to move to virtual classrooms, more and more KC kids need a safe place to be during the day. A group of afterschool service providers, including Camp Fire Heartland, Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA and others, are stepping up to provide kids a safe place to do virtual school during the day—prioritizing those most in need. These providers need Centurions’ help gathering supplies to keep students engaged. We will be collecting the following supplies to support this effort on September 11 at Union Station:

  • Crayons
  • Scissors (blunt and pointed)
  • Water paint
  • Coloring pencils
  • #2 pencils
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Big erasers
  • Pencil boxes
  • Copy paper
  • Construction paper
  • Masks
  • Face Shields
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Baby wipes
  • Small laundry baskets

One volunteer hour will be given for participating in the drive! We will be collecting these donations at Union station on Friday September 11 at two primary drop off times: 7-9 a.m. and 2-6 p.m.

FALL

VIRTUAL RETREAT IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!

Virtual Retreat is coming up on September 16-18. But before that, you’ll need to make sure you have your retreat survival bag! On Friday, September 11, please stop by Union Station during the following times to pick up your very own retreat bag:

  • 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM

OR

  • 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM

When coming to pick up your goodie bag, remember to wear your mask and maintain a social distance from other Centurions. If these times do not work out for you, please contact Quint Hall at JQHall@lockton.com.

And while you’re picking up your retreat bag, make sure to bring some supplies to support KC kids who need a place to go during the day due to the move to virtual school. More information on that in the main story.

ALUMNI

ALUMNI DIRECTORY AND DUES

We want to do our best to help you stay connected to fellow alumni. If you would like to continue your Centurions Alumni Association membership, please use this link to pay the $50 alumni dues fees. On the form, include the code “AD-2021” when it requests an invoice number, and include your first and last name in the notes section so we can pair each payment to the appropriate alumnus.

If you require an invoice for your alumni dues, please contact Danielle Isbell.

Joining the Alumni Association guarantees you a copy of the Alumni Directory once it’s published in the fall. Please stay tuned for more information on upcoming events.
