KC Chamber Small Business Celebration
The Small Business Celebration has become a staple event for the Greater Kansas City Chamber for over a quarter century. This event is a seven month slate of activities and promotions to celebrate the regional small business sector and recognize the area’s top small businesses. The celebration culminates with an awards luncheon where the Top 10 Small Businesses are recognized and the Small Business of the Year is awarded the annual Mr. K Award. Three additional awards are presented at this luncheon including:
  • The KC Chamber Diverse-Owned Small Business of the Year
  • The KC Chamber Aspirational Entrepreneur Award
  • The KC Chamber Legacy Award

KC Chamber Business Class
Thank you to Time Warner Cable for sponsoring the 2014 Business Class! Business Class is a monthly lunch and learn education program which offers small businesses the opportunity to receive training and access to resources that their companies may not individually have access to. Business Class is generally held on the first Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Chamber Board Room at Union Station. Chamber members and some national presenters are solicited to submit proposals to lead sessions on topics such as employment law, human resources, marketing, sales and other topics of interest to small businesses. The monthly educational classes attract about 40-60 attendees each month.
