FROM THE KC CHAMBER'S PRESIDENT AND CEO

There is nothing quite like experiencing the vicarious joy of announcing the Top 10 Small Businesses in the KC Chamber’s annual Small Business Celebration. The enthusiastic high-fives, tears of joy and shouts of elation are remarkable. As one recipient said, the feeling of being recognized gave her goosebumps. That feeling is infectious here at the Chamber and gives all of us positive energy.

This past Thursday, with the help of our media partners at Startland News, the KC Chamber held a private event to surprise candidates in our Small Business Celebration with the news that they had made the Top 10. You can read all about it in this article from Startland. Then, if you were paying attention to our social media on Friday, each Top 10 Small Business was announced publicly throughout the morning. Join me now in congratulating the following companies who are in the running for the “Mr. K” Award, also known as Small Business of the Year:

  • Blue Symphony
  • DMC Service, Inc.
  • Overflow
  • Perfect Promotions
  • Quantum Resource Professionals
  • SnapIT Solutions
  • Stellar Image Studios
  • Taliaferro & Browne
  • The Next Paige Agency
  • Walz Tetrick Advertising

You can read more about the Top 10 announcement in this news item on our website. I also hope you will register to join us at the Small Business Celebration Luncheon on Thursday, June 13 to celebrate our incredible small business community. We will hear from our panel on how business leaders in our region foster their company culture and use it to promote the wellbeing of their employees. Register today!
