Awards & Honors

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Chamber honors those who are blazing new trails in our region in several ways:

The Kansas Citian of the Year Award has become one of the region’s highest honors, given to those who have shown exemplary leadership in our community.

The Mr. K Award is given to The Chamber’s Small Business of the Year.  Named after famed entrepreneur Ewing Kauffman, the award is based on business growth, exemplary employee relations, and a strong record of service to the community.

The ATHENA Award is presented annually to those who demonstrate great leadership in opening doors for women.

The Energy Booster Award, also given annually, is part of The Chamber’s effort to promote sustainability and honors a company or individual showing the way in ‘going green.’

The Chamber’s Centurions honor both their classmates and a significant community leader annually.
