Entrepreneur Matt Condon Elected Chair of the KC Chamber

Matt Condon, founder and CEO of two healthcare-related businesses in Kansas City, has been unanimously elected Chair of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. The vote by the Chamber Board of Directors was unanimous. At 42, Condon is the youngest Chair in the history of the business organization.
Condon founded ARC Physical Therapy+ in 2003. Ten years later, he sold a majority stake in ARC in a $36 million deal, while remaining CEO. Turning to the data/analytics side of the healthcare equation, Condon founded Bardavon Innovations – named after Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon. (Condon keeps a Shakespeare quote above his desk that says, “And yet words are not deeds.”)

Condon says he didn’t know much about the Chamber when he joined the Board of Directors – an appointment that accompanied ARC’s Mr. K Award as the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year in 2010. “I became genuinely impressed by the Chamber and the Board and the approach to Kansas City issues. I was impressed that there were so many people who really cared about the community and were willing to give of their time and energy."
For the last few years, Condon has also served as Champion of the Chamber’s Big 5 goal to make Kansas City America’s most entrepreneurial city. “There’s been tremendous growth,” he says, “but we still have a long way to go. We need to stay focused on promoting entrepreneurship – it’s part of the foundation of whether Kansas City will still be vibrant ten years from now.”
Condon’s one year term as Chamber Chair begins November 1, 2017. He succeeds current Chamber Chair Karen Daniel, CFO of Black & Veatch. He lives in Fairway with his wife Carrie and four children.
