Join the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and the American Jazz Museum for an evening of music and networking at one of the world’s greatest jazz crossroads – 18th & Vine. Located in the Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District in Kansas City, MO, the American Jazz Museum showcases the sights and sounds of jazz through interactive exhibits and films, the Changing Gallery exhibit space, Horace M. Peterson III Visitors Center, Blue Room jazz club and Gem Theater.
 
Event attendees will be treated to:
  • A live performance by the Kanas City Jazz Academy, a free music performance program for all ages. Learn more about the Kansas City Jazz Academy here.
  • Access to the Museum’s 20th anniversary exhibition: The Legacy Plays On
  • A drink ticket to be used at The Blue Room
  • Free admission to Steppin’ on the Vine (a First Friday exclusive dance class featuring Chicago style steppin’) following the event
  • An exciting First Fridays on 18th & Vine street fair featuring vendors, food, and live music
  • A celebration of the entire Crossroads community - East and West
All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the Kansas City Jazz Academy, a free, hands-on performance program where students from ages 3 to 12 learn the jazz language directly through work with top educators. Performance-based educational experiences are offered in Big Band, Combos, and Improvisation Classes.
